I sized up for my 2-year-old and the classic fit is perfect with room to grow. The buttons at the shoulder make getting it over his head so much easier, and the ribbed cuffs actually stay put.
The sponge knit on this is unreal, so thick and cozy without being bulky. The ribbed cuffs actually stay put on my toddler's wrists instead of stretching out by lunchtime. Those little shoulder buttons make getting it over his head way less of a wrestling match.
